battery will not recharge to full.

after installing new battery in moto z3 it can make calls and all other functions but it will not charge more than the % it is at when plugged in. If the battery is used to a less % it will not recharge to full.

Am not too familiar with this phone model but my Motorola turbo did the exact same thing. Turned out when I disassembled it I accidentally damaged the wireless charging ribbon. Thiught I didn't need it. I was wrong. My battery temp sensor was located on that, and without it my phone would show it was hooked to a charger but never charged. Ordered a new one and boom its fixed. Might be something similar here?
