Freezer too cold. Refrigerator too warm
My 2003 or 2004 Whirlpool Gold side by side refrigerator is keeping the freezer too cold set at 5. Refrigerator too warm set at 7 (highest number). Fan motor replaced 11 months ago. What could be causing it?

Just going off the info provided it could be the damper between the fridge and freezer. If stuck, it won't allow enough cold air into the fridge from freezer compartment, so it won't cool enough. This will make it run longer, trying to cool it down, so the freezer will get too cold. This is the easiest thing to check. I would definitely start there. Its normally at the top rear of the wall separating the two.
