How to eject usb superdrive from MacBook air
I have a USB superdrive that i plugged into my macbook air to add music to my library. I cannot find how to eject the drive itself. No eject button appears in finder next to the drive
There is no eject of the drive unlike an external HDD or SSD as the file system is not cached within the systems RAM and need to be written back before ejecting.
Now with that said, there is one issue! If you are the middle of writing a optical disk, you want to eject the disk before disconnecting the optical drive.
If you are working with bought CD/DVD’s or just reading from ones you created you can disconnect the drive at any time. You won’t hurt the drive or the disk.
