Pixel3a color shift and display problem at low brightness setting

So I ordered a replacement screen, got it all installed no problem! the guide was great! I was really happy with the screen until I turned off the light and the adaptive brightness slid the brightness down and my screen got a orange tinge all over it and got really really dark. I was wondering if this is a known problem and if there is a fix? Thanks!
