not powering on? just changed the battery...

hi, my macbook battery recently decided to kill itself, so i i reached out here and learned it was def the battery’s problem, so i replaced that and it worked great for a couple of uses but now my macbook isn’t powering on at all! no signs of powering on, either, just completely dead. when i plug in the charger, the light on it stays orange and the battery light when pressed flashes green. what do?! thanks in advance for your assistance!!!
