Temperature control switch issue

I have a ( GTS16DTNRWW ) GE refrigerator that i noticed wasn't cooling a month or so ago. I tapped on the temperature control housing and it started right up. I inevitably changed out the temperature control switch and it started working agian. That solution lasted 2 days then started to fail again. I installed a bypass switch for the time being until a new one arrived and i installed that last night and it quit agian already. What could cause these to be acting this way? Low voltage? I took apart the last switch and the tips and everything look great. Its acting as if the tip gap is to great for the incoming voltage to overcome.
