What is best repair for plastic freezer molding

The molding covering the top of my chest freezer walls is cracked. Moisture may be underneath, in the foam insulation. New molding pieces would cost over 1/2, maybe 3/5 of the cost of a new freezer. What is the best repair? Of course, this surface is the sealing surface under the rubber gasket.

Will a hard glue, like epoxy adhere and survive the temperatures? Will a silicone allow the minute amounts of moisture to freeze underneath in the wall without deforming the sealing surface, and resist possible abrasion over the large flat surface?
