Overloaded power strip, now tv has backlighting issues

Hi,

My tv broke in the summer, I was told what happened was the AC unit was plugged into the same surge protector strip as my tv and when the AC was turned on it caused an overload and the power strip was busted and the tv has this problem:

It turns on. I get the big Toshiba start up, the screen saver, and when I turn on my xbox I get the home screen just fine for a few seconds before the tv screen goes black but I still have sound. If I turn the tv off and on again, when I turn my xbox on I don’t see the xbox screen at all it just goes black immediately. If I’m doing this a lot I sometimes barely get through the Toshiba start up display before it goes black, the longer I go between attempts the more display time I seem to get.

I did the flashlight test and I what I’m supposed to see is still there, just faint.

Without knowing anything about electronics, I can only guess to switch out the whole power supply board which is a little expensive and I can’t spot any obvious damage to confirm. I’m hoping someone can tell me if they see a damaged part in my pictures, or have an idea what problem the overload would likely have caused.

It’s a Toshiba 49L310U LED LCD . These are the power supply board, main board, and something else, I’m not sure what.

I would try to measure the voltages on the power supply board at the connector labelled P803. Looking at the conn You should have 3 strips (or 3 pairs) The reference voltages should be written on the board somewhere. See if you can get a stable high voltage on the connectors.

@honakrisi Thanks for replying, I will try this with my friend who owns and knows how to use a voltmeter when my city is out of lockdown.
