How to change handset number?
Purchased a refurbished Uniden DECT 6.0, D1760-3. Handsets are numbered 2, 3 and 4. How do I change handset number so they are 1, 2 and 3?

Try resetting and re-registering the handsets in the wanted order, i.e. reset all the handsets and then re-register the wanted #1 handset first, then #2, then #3.

Reset all three handsets, then registered them. The base assigned new numbers to the handsets, but they're still 2, 3 and 4. Guess I don't get a handset #1.

Just curious, did you try the "base unavailable" option when resetting, as shown in the link just to see if that alters anything?
