@tripdabtrav we of course do not know exactly what this manufacturer is using but most common wire used for the heating element is an alloy of nickel and chromium; Nichrome Wire. There are of course multiple other alloys used for this. Check on places like Alibaba.com and search for Toaster element wire. “tons” of them available.
