2008 Rav4 AC amplifier replacement

I have a 2008 Rav4 base model with a V6 engine.  I need a new or replacement for the air conditioning amplifier.  I have come across several used models whose serial numbers all start with the same first five numbers (88650) however the second five numbers after the dash are different.  If the AC/heat controls on the dash are laid out in the same configuration, will the AC amplifier function the same?  My mechanic ordered a new part several months ago but it still has not arrived so I need a fix using a used part.
