Flickering and strange colours on left side of screen

So the left side of my screen is displaying strange colours and strange flickering. It's as though anything going on that side of the screen somehow changes colour, and weird flickering appears especially when dark colours are displayed.

Fiddling with connectors has brought no joy. I've read about T-con issues…am I another victim? This came up out of nowhere and for a while it seemed to change with the screen angle which led me to believe it might be similar to Flexgate. Now it's happening permanently
