What type of USB cable do I need
I want to connect an older computer with alot of files on it to my new computer and transfer files. What kind of USB cable do I buy?

The first link you posted is the better one as you also need software (which comes with the cable) to do the transfer whereas the second one doesn't have this. It is just a USB cable with a different plug at each end. One end has a micro USB plug which won't fit in most computers anyway as they mostly have the standard USB socket.
