Hi @seekslol ,

Is this an external HDD?

If so can you try connecting it to another PC and check if it is detected and can be read?

If you have an Instagram or something I can send photos to that would be great but like I said I have no idea what I'm doing. :(

What is the make and model number of the motherboard?

Only ask this so I can tell you how to access BIOS if you don't know how.

You need to get into the motherboard's BIOS menus to check if the F drive is being detected or not. Usually you press F2 or Del between the time the PC is started and before it boots into Windows. The manufacturer's logo may appear with a message to press ?? to enter Setup during this time.

If you don’t get a chance to enter BIOS because it boots straight into Windows, if you have Win10 installed start the PC and allow it to boot all the way to the Windows desktop and then disable fast startup. Save the changes and then shutdown the PC in the normal manner. Then restart the PC and you should be able to get into the BIOS menus as described above.

When if BIOS check that the F drive is detected You should see all the drives that are connected i.e. c drive, f drive and dvd drive as well.

If the F drive (actual name of HDD make and model is shown, not the letter F) is not shown then you need to exit BIOS and turn off the PC, disconnect the power and open it up and check that both the power and data connections to the HDD (or SSD if it is a SSD) from the motherboard are OK
