@mgm59 .. typically with no sound, it is indicative of a failed connection at the solder on the speaker itself, or a broken circuit in the wire connecting the speakers to the male adapter that plugs into your device.

being that one side is functioning vs the other, id say more likely its speaker related connection more so than the cord itself. to test, you can plug in some audio source and listen as you bend and twist the cord from bottom to top and see if any sound starts to come through. if at any point you hear audio in both speakers or audio ceases to play from the currently working speaker, that point is the fault. alternatively, if no fault is found this way, youll want to open your headset and inspect the soldered connections at the speaker. inspect to see if any joint has come loose.

in any scenario, once the fault is found, youll want to re solder a connection. if its in the cord, strip back and solder each colored wire to match and the wrap with electrical tape to prevent solder from touching another connection. ( can use heat shrink tube as well for more professional look)
