system popped when I turned it on after storage
Hi there, My sound sticks had been working perfectly well, and then I travelled for 3 months and stored them. When I moved into a new flat I plugged everything in, switched all on and it popped and hasn’t worked since. For the life of me I cannot find the issue, Any ideas, please? I am not terrible tech-minded but I learn fast. Any tips or tests I can perform?

Are there any LED lights on or etc?
Im not sure if your adapter has indicator LED, if so, does it light up too?

@salmonjapan It's totally dead...I think that something blew in the power pack maybe? And I have no way of opening it up to perhaps fix it? Or how to test which part of the equipment has failed...does that make sense?

Are you sure the power supply is the correct one?
Was the storage very cold and the house/apartment very warm.
If yes, there could have been condensation which caused a short circuit.
Forget openning power supplies but you can read their specifications such as voltage, Amps, where the ground is outer or inner on the plug, AC/DC (no not the band), etc. You will need a multimeter to read its voltage and polarity.
