R2 not working, tried all simple fixes.

My R2 trigger does not work at all, not even when pressed firmly. I took the controller apart, swapped button rubbers with about 3 other controllers. No response. Swapped the button ribbon with another controller who’s ribbon worked and still, nothing. Lastly, I tested the original ribbon for continuity and it is indeed conducting properly. I noticed that the r2 functioned erratically while completely disassembled (I had it disassembled and connected to the PS4 just so I could test. I don’t use the remote like this lol) I also tried pressing the reset button.
