dvd drive is clicking
hi looking for help ran a dvd in the laptop last night and it worked fine woke up this morning and its making a clicking sound and wont load the dvd up it is spinning but wont load it using a 3rd party dvd player (5k player)

The clicking is the search head going back and forth trying to read the disk. This can be caused by an unreadable disk or contamination on the read head, contamination on the lens or a failed drive. Use a cleaning DVD on it, blow it out with canned air or replace the drive. But first try using a known good commercial disk.
