Missing/Broken FPC Pads any easy repair?

Hello guys,

I have one iPhone 7 which was waterdamaged, but I returned it to life by using isopropyl alcohol and ultrasonic machine. The problem now is the fpc connector which the pins was broken. I ordered a new one to get them replaced, but when I removed the old one, I saw many missing pads. Any suggestions what to do? If those all needs to be do with jumper wires for me that will be a very hard job. Something else suggestion?

Unfortunately there is nothing else you can do besides running jumpers. A lot of those missing pads go to Tristar and some our power rails.

Unless this was a data recovery job it would not be a viable repair although it would be good practice for someone learning microsoldering.

I am using the free software PhoneBoard for looking where i need to put a jump wires. Is it a accurate program? Can you share me some link of jump wires with missing pads like this one for examples?

Phone board should be fine in determining which component the jumper wires will go.

@imicrosoldering What about those things which are making the old iphones - iphone 6 , 6s , 7 and etc to be wireless charging? If i put a wireless coll inside the phone and make it wireless to can charge will it work? Or still this fpc connector will be needed?

I like the way you think. I haven’t seen a wireless charging iPhone 7 mod yet but I would suspect it would have to have an adapter connected to the charge port connector. So no it will not work.
