Most guides only describe changing the tuning machines. There is an LED knob and circuitboard under the bridge as well as electronics in the body itself. I want this obsolete equipment off what is otherwise a beautiful guitar.

If you remove the bushings from the front of the tuners, the Robot tuner will come out.
The one thing is that you will need to replace the tuners.
My personal recommendation are hipshot locking tuners, as they have mounting hardware what won’t require you to drill new holes.
