If you mean that you just want the answer machine to answer your calls simply press the On/Off button on the answer machine base station or use the handset procedure as outlined below.

The default number of rings before answer is either 2 or 4 rings depending on whether there are any new messages or not, so it won’t give you much time to pick up before it answers. It can be altered to make the phone ring longer before the answer machine answers the call

To turn the answer machine on or off using the handset.

Pick up the handset and press the Menu/Select button - red box - then use the Up/Down buttons - green arrows - to scroll to Ans.Setup in the display,

Press the Menu/select button then use the up/Down buttons - green arrows - to scroll to Ans On/Off.

Press Menu/Select then use the Up/Down buttons - green arrows - to scroll to On or Off.

Press and hold End/clear - blue box - then release
