apple watch isnt staying on

a long time ago my apple watch died and I stopped using it because at the time I didn’t use it much anyway so I just wanted to get one last charge out of it but now I want to use it again so i charged it but now when i press the on button it shows the apple logo for like a millisecond then goes blank i’ve tried force restarting it but that hasn’t worked please help
