Fan powers on, nothing appears on display, then it shuts down

I removed the RAM, then put it back in, and now when i try to boot, the fan turns on for about 10 seconds, then revs up and powers down. I tried upgrading the RAM, but when i put the new RAM in, it gives me the BSOD. So i put the old RAM back in since it was working fine before this, and now i have this issue with the old RAM back in.
