I’m trying to open the keyboard up which is proving difficult. I need only to replace the battery, so this is really my only obstacle. Any help is appreciated.

Flip the keyboard over so you can see the back panel.
Look on the side of the edge where the back panel and the top panel meet.
Slowly pop the back panel off so you DO NOT break the keyboard flex cable connector.

Yes, I know this already. My main problem is that I'm having trouble finding an opening to pry at. I've heard that the adhesive is very strong. I'm using the iOpener toolkit. Maybe I'm not getting it heated up enough?
Actually, yeah, I wasn't getting it hot enough. But your second line helped me find the starting point. Thanks.
Also, have you done battery replacement? And if so, how do I remove the battery off the back safely?
