When replacing the Left I/O Board is it also necessary to purchase a new Cable as well as a new logic board? Will the new Left I/O board clear up any issues I am having with my headphones? I am on a fixed budget and do not know what all to buy to fix my audio problems.

Here's the part you want. I don't know what wrong with your machine so I can't tell you what parts you need. If it's just the headphones all you'll need is a board. What's wrong with the headphones?

I am having problems with audio pops and latency issues when watching video online or working with video in Final Cut Pro. An example is I will be watching a Netflix video and the playback will start to stutter and crackle. The same kind of experience occurs with Final Cut Pro. I have a Macbook Pro Core 2 duo running the latest version of Snow Leopard with 4 GB of RAM on a 320GB 7200RPM hard drive. I can't tell if it's the processor's inability to keep up with rendering Flash video, or a faulty I/O board. My plan is to upgrade to a 720GB Hard drive and upgrade the I/O board. Any other ideas?
