Chromebook not powering down when closing lid
CB will not power down when you close the top lid. Or go in to sleep mode.

Where is the magnet located? I’m troubleshooting a CB right now that will not sleep when the lid is closed… The option to sleep when the lid is closed is enabled.

yes, I found the problem. the magnet on the backside of the bevel came out of its bracket.

@Justin Jordan yup just as I thought if the Chromebook does not read the magenet it does not go to sleep. is that all?
