Screen display won't display when trying to replace with a new one

Hi all, I ordered a new front screen for my Samsung S9. I went through the procedure of heating up the adhesive and removing both the front and the back covers. I then heated the adhesive on the battery and replaced that.I then tried to install the new front screen. I don’t have any display appear, but I can hear the phone turn on when i hit the power button, and if i put it on the charger. Is there any way to troubleshoot the screen display? Did I get a screen that was DOA?

What happened to the old screen? Did it shatter or also just turn black? Have you tried using a multimeter to make sure that the display is actually getting power?

Hi @bjonein

Did you get a replacement screen with the frame assembly? Trying to install the screen assembly onto the frame is a difficult process that has huge margins for error, which could contribute to your screen display problem.

If not, you can check the screen connection to make sure its fully connected. it may need to be pressed on both ends at the same time to fully “click” into place. Leave the device on the charger for a while, and then try to hard reset the phone by holding the Power and Volume Down buttons together for 10+ seconds.
