Why is my phone booting up twice before the lock screen?

So I had done a hefty amount of repairs on my iPhone 7 Plus from battery replacements, screen replacements, dock connector replacement, and even housing replacements. This has been happening for a while now but I’m curious now to ask why after seeing some videos of the same phone as mine and noticing their phone shows the apple logo once then goes to the lock screen. For my phone it shows the apple logo twice ( pretty much boots up twice) then goes to the lock screen. It’s not a huge problem to me I’ve gotten used to it but I would love to know if I had done any mistake with any of my repairs and maybe even fix it. Love to know what you guys got! Thanks!

With these technicalities you have to be very precise with wording and details..”pretty much boots up twice” is quite vague. From what I’ve experienced a typical boot time for an iPhone 7 is in the range of 8/10 seconds, thus if you’re there about there’s nothing unusual overall. At about 2/3 of the boot sequence, around 6/7 seconds after you press power button the iP7 briefly turns off backlight or with some aftermarket screens brightness suddenly increases. That seems to look very much alike Macs boot, where it happens exactly the same thing. I would speculate at that stage graphics drivers are loaded, but I’m no software engineer and the exact boot sequence stages are beyond my knowledge. But still, your question may refer to something entirely different that needs more details to be possibly answered.

Sorry what I mean by it is that when the phone is powered on the Apple logo shows up then after a few seconds goes away the pops right back up as if it rebooted while booting up. Then a few seconds after it goes to the lock screen. I may be very off on the seconds I’m explaining but that’s the best explanation I have for it

This is normal for most iPhone 7 it is not actually booting up twice it is just the screen turning off then back on. I have noticed when the camera flex is not connected it doesn’t do it, making me think it is checking the light sensor or something.

@imicrosoldering do you think there could be about a malfunction in the front or rear camera flex cables? Because it never done this before unless it could be an iOS update bug?
