Also fried something. useless words to get five

Hi, I accidentally put a 12v charger into my xb30. Now when I put in the right charger the battery indication turns on for about a minute then turns of. the middle buttons on top doesn’t work and the lights doesn’t turn on. Extra bass, the on button, pairing and the sound still works.

First of I’m sorry for the very late reply to such a helpful answer. I’m so grateful that there is this help to get, and to create a fixing culture when there is so much waste of stuff is inspiring.

I had another speaker of the same kind so I never got around to cracking this thing up. Now I found out a friend that was living in my house accedentily put a 12v charger in to my other one, so this happened again haha🤦‍♂️ this one is completely dead now. Anyways I have opened it up and sitting with the parts in front of me. I’ll send over some pictures of the charging board if that is what you meant.

Pretty well much all you can do except take it in to a repair shop:

My speaker also doesn't switch on , I used the wrong charger

ksunnefeldtnyberg sounds like you may have fried parts on the power board. You will definitely need a new battery.

We would have to see what the boards looks like. Use these guides Sony SRS-XB30 to disassemble your device and take plenty of good pictures of your board, that way we can see what you see and hopefully identify the issues. iFixitでの質問に画像を追加する方法
