Why is my lens not closing

Hello, I was taking family pictures, then all of a sudden the lens would not close. I’ve tried turning on and off several times, but to no avail, will not closed. What else can I do?

gemmima18 looks like it’s a stuck lens. There are plenty of reasons as for why this may have happened (dirt, sand and failed motors being just a few of those). Try the tricks suggested on here. If none of those work you may have to replace the lens.
