Can you swap a Samsung s8+ motherboard ( g955f) to another (g955u)?

I just bought me a phone (s8+) from this one person from the internet and they had it reset, but i doubt they knew that if you factory reset and dont remove the google accounts from it it will get locked. so my question is that, if you can replace the motherboard with one that is unlocked AND change the the type of model of motherboard, will it still work? (note: it is currently a “g955f” and i want to swap it to a “g955u” motherboard. )
