Hi,

I’ve a MacBook Pro Retina A1398 (2,3GHz / 8GB), so could I upgrade my computer by replace it with any A1398 motherboard model ?

For example with an 2,7GHz / 16gb ?

You are limited to what the series offered MacBookPro10,1 Any one of this logic board would work in your system. Finding one will be hard as all of the older Retina model pre 2016 are sought after! Between the better keyboards and the USB-A & HDMI ports options and like you a lot of people want the 16 GB models as well. So don’t be surprised on how much it will cost.
