Detent Switches on Blue Phone Board - what are they for?

I decided today to dive into and fix a broken screen on my Blu Vivo XI+. After quite some time (a couple of hours) , I managed to get the entire then disassembled and back together with the new screen. The screen turned on and I was amazed I didn’t break anything.

I then decided to make a phone call, and found out that my microphones was not working. Since I had not glued the back plate on quite yet, I opened up the phone and found out that I must have broken one of the little detent switches on the charging board when I was originally disassembling the phone. I apologize for not having a picture of these switches to show, but I am curious what they are actually used for? There are about 6 of them around the phone and are used on different board. Are they just failsafe switches to ensure the board is in the phone? They don’t press onto metal so they aren’t to connect ot a ground. Also, since I already broke the switch, I tore it the rest of the way off of the board. Does anyone know if it is possible to just bypass this switch by shorting it? I am assuming this switch is what enables the microphone to work on my phone.

Thanks for your help.
