Laptop won't power up and no light on charger

Hello

I'm trying to sort a problem with a 2010 macbook pro.

There are no signs of life at all. No light on the magsafe charger or nothing happens when you try to turn it on.

I've tried a new magsafe charger, a new magsafe connector on the laptop and also put new batteries in it and it still won't boot.

Sounds like it’s a problem with the dc-in power jack. Thankfully your computer is simple to disassemble. just follow these steps until you get to 4:50 in the video then simply unplug the dc-in power board from the motherboard: https://youtu.be/3RhlD-TMHCg?t=45

Here, I even found a replacement power board jack for you: https://tinyurl.com/y334qyrp

oh, also remember to either wear rubber gloves, or a static discharge wrist band. static can do more harm to your computer than you.

Tried changing that but didn't fix it, also there is no battery indicator working when I installed the new battery, surely there was some charge on it from new

"surely there was some charge on it from new." True, then it sounds like there's a problem with one of the parts on the motherboard used to manage the power input. Sorry to say, but you may need to replace the motherboard.

Then again, there is another, possible, solution. There could be a cracked solder joint on one or more of these parts on the board. With that in mind, you could try using a heat gun on the board. However, this does come with a risk. it could overheat a part and damage it. You'd have to be very care full if you attempt this.

I've got to go to work now, so I probably won't see your reply until tomorrow.

I did take the logic board out but nothing seems damaged or burnt. Not even that much green stuff on it
