Is this normal? power cable looks burnt at connection to unit

Looking at the back of my mini fridge, the power cable looks burnt color is that normal??

looks like discoloration of either the foam backing or the glue to hold it in place. Remove the foam insulation entirely and check the cable insulation. Right now I would not be to concerned about it. Post some pictures once you have the foam off.
