PS4 Unrecognized Disk When Using Games But Not DVDs

I’ve had this problem for a year or so and have tried many different things after tons of searches. I can’t seem to find the answer.

I have a CUH-1001A model PS4 that sits horizontally. It reads DVDs, but not Blu-Ray movies or games. I’ve inserted multiple games and movies, but it always fails to recognized blu-ray movies and games. Below are all of the things I’ve tried after searching, but none of them have helped.

1. I verified the rollers in the drive are correctly aligned.
2. I tried tapping above the disk drive when I inserted the disk.
3. I turned PS4 on its side, both sides.
4. I Initialized the PS4 by Updating the software to 6.71 in safe mode.
5. I rebuilt the database in safe mode.
6. I cleaned the inside even though there wasn’t much dust.
7. I replaced the laser.
8. I replaced the disk drive. I made sure to transfer the board from the old to the new drive.

I’ve been playing only downloaded games, but I’m at my wits end with this thing. Does anyone have any other recommendations other than sending it in to Sony? Thanks in advance.
