I sent my iPhone 8 for professional repair and the tech said he repaired the chip but now it needs reprogramming. He said he’s waiting for his reprogrammer to be returned from China.
Does this sound correct or is he pulling my leg? I’ve been waiting 2 months and apparently it still hasn’t arrived.
The phone works perfect except for wifi.

With Apple devices, expect any major chips needing to be reprogrammed if swapped.
This can be normal, but I can’t vouch for anything.

Wifi ic is paired for iphones from 5s upwards so to replace it, u would normally have to remove the nand and unbind the wifi, jcpro etc programmer…
