Does the galaxy s6 edge rear glass fit the regular galaxy s6?

Further to the previous answer, I have just tried to fit an S6 rear glass to an S6 Edge - and it will NOT fit.

The reason the S6 rear glass will not fit to the S6 Edge is that the S6 rear glass is slightly LONGER than the S6 Edge rear glass. So the S6 rear glass is unable to fit into the frame area of the S6 Edge. It is all out of alignment - if you try fitting it at one end it sticks way out at the other, the camera and flash assembly apertures do not line up, and if you start to try and line the camera and flash assembly up first then the rest is hanging over the edge of the casing. NEVER order an S6 rear glass for an S6 Edge. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is 1.3mm longer than the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge making the S6 rear glass USELESS to try to fit to an S6 Edge. If your parts supplier says it will be ‘ok’ at the time of parts purchase, if he should, in his ignorance (like mine did) try to sell you an S6 Rear glass for your S6 Edge repair then show him a pic of this answer. Also, as the previous answer advised the long edges of the S6 Edge are slightly curved while the S6 long edges of the rear glass are flat.
