Interference in headphones after headphone jack replacement

I just replaced my headphone jack a few days ago when i was able to push the headphone connector and the sound would lessen.

Once I got it back together I noticed that I get noise I can hear in the headphones when the phone is charging. I've used two different pairs of earphones and have the same issue. The sound level will also lower when it is in my pocket. I cannot reproduce this in my hand though.

Has anyone encountered this before and found a solution?

Edit 5/12: Sound occurs when a minute or two after plugging in the charger. If i remove it it goes away immediately. When plugged back in it comes back immediately.

I took the phone apart again to re-seat the connector and the jack itself and nothing changed. i noticed an adhesive tab on the battery that was stuck between the speaker board and the headphone jack solder joints. I moved it to the proper space (it was marked with brackets).

I tried changing the transformer I was using and tried it in a different car and it still happens.
