I have a working MBP 15” (2012 retina, Model: A1398) with a ruined screen. I have a broken Early 2011 MBP 15” with a working screen. Is it possible to utilize the early 2011 screen in my 2012? This is my first post here, apologies if this is an elementary question. Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately you can’t, A1286 and A1398 are completely different “beasts” with almost nothing in common except for the name and size. There’s really no part of one that can be used in the other.

Any affordable method to get my a1398 a working (not external) screen once more, or is that not plausible? Thanks again for your prompt answer!
What's affordable for one may be steep for another, it really is very subjective and depends on the use one makes of the Mac. Retina 15" Pros are among the most expensive PCs on the market..even if you replace it yourself the screen assembly is quite expensive. If you're ready to do some difficult work the cheaper alternative would be replacing just the Retina screen panel, but it's a very demanding task with a good chance the result will be sub par even if everything goes well. A full screen assembly replacement would be much more recommended.
Which other macbook models would fit the A1398 if done using a full assembly replacement process?
Are there any others that would match it?

Hi Jade ! I'm just wondering if I can use the a1286 LCD Glass screen replacement for my a1398 since it is the same size ? my LCD isn't damaged, its just those bubbles :)
