Laptop blue screened shut down then said no bootable device

So, my Acer Aspire R15 blue screened and shut down. Then it booted itself back up and said no bootable device. I hard shut it down by pressing and holding the power button, waited 60 seconds and turned it back on and again it said no bootable device. I shut it down again and unplugged the charger then started it again and it booted just fine. It's up and running just fine. Now when I plug the charger in my screen goes black with the backlight on. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Is my charger bad?
