Gears of War 3 - Profile achievements, game saves, etc., gone...

My son was playing our system, apparently it was shut off during a load screen while cycling between private warzone multiplayer maps… although this sort of thing has had to have happened before as we play this system religiously for the better part of 6 years. Well, something happened because the next time I logged in to play, I saw that my lvl 70 character was now level 1, all achievements, etc., gone. Same happened to my son’s profile. Although, his character still shows “gnasher master” as his title, whereas mine is now gears conscript (level 1). Sad… sad… sad.

Ok, so, is there any hope here? I am assuming its dead and gone but hopeful that maybe original somethings are on the drive and can be accessed/recovered in some way.

I did play a few arcade chapters, gain a few levels, on the account, since I noticed the issue in an attempt to just say “get over it” and its still eating at me, so I thought I would ask if anyone has any ideas or experience in these matters.
