Fixing the right earphone - only works with 7.1 (Hyper X Cloud II)

Hey everyone,

My right earphone stopped working. I have read the other threads but I still am not sure what to check for or how to fix it. Everything seems to be attached like the other images I’ve seen.

I’m pretty sure the damage is on the left side, as before it stopped working entirely I could sometimes get it to work by bending the main feed wire.

Could anyone provide me some specific guidance?

Edit: It works if I use the USB dongle and turn on 7.1, which is very strange. But it won’t work plugged directly into my phone (no dongle, obviously).

Lady Nightwinkle  “It works if I use the USB dongle and turn on 7.1,” in that case it is unlikely that it is the driver (speaker)or the wiring. If anything, it is an issues with the connector which is very strange. “it won’t work plugged directly into my phone” because it will require a different connector to be compatible with your phone.

It used to work plugged directly into my phone, though. And my new headphones work plugged into the dongle with 7.1 on and off. So I'm quite sure the dongle is fine.
