Hi
I have an Acer aspire laptop V5-551 and when I press the power button it boots up however there is no display on the screen and the fan stops after a few seconds.
What can this be down to?
I have recorded a video that shows the issue.
In the video you can hear the beeping when the laptop charger is unplugged.

I think the GPU (graphics processing unit) is broken or uninstalled. Are there any beeps and did you change any settings before this happened

I didn't change anything before this. When I put the charger in the laptop beeps

This could be a few things. POST could be failing, You may need to reseat/replace your RAM, or most likely the device is over heating

Have you tried plugging in an external monitor prior to turning on?
Have you tried draining the power from computer by unplugging the power cable, removing the battery, and holding the power button for about a minute?
Do you notice the power button or the Caps/Num Lock key blinking any lights

I have the same issue but I don’t hear any beeping. Laptop turns on, no keyboard blinking, fan starts and stays on for a few seconds and then stops. Laptop used to work fine. Model Acer Aspire 5750 i5….any other suggestions anyone ?
I have the same problem me 2 any suggestions?
