Oleophobic Coating: Filling in the Scratches
I have an iPhone 8 which I really like. What I really love about this phone is that it is so beautiful...but then I see some scratches and those seem to ruin the beauty. From what I've read, those scratches are not scratches in the glass itself but in the Oleophobic coating (which is a somewhat finger resistant coating). For the most part these scratches aren't noticeable but being a perfectionist, for them just to be there bothers me sometimes. I've read a little about applying (or reapplying) the Oleophobic layer onto a screen which sounds quite easier (drop some of this special liquid on the screen, rub it in, let it bond for 6-8 hours, and its done). I was wondering if I could do that to just fill in the scratches (not to cover the entire screen). What should I know before doing that? What would be the best Oleophobic coating product to use? Will it void my iPhone's warranty?
