shanechitwood40  once the picture turns dark (in a darkened room) shine a flashlight at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out shapes etc. If so, it is your backlight that is failing. If it does not, you want to remove the back of your TV and take a look at the main board. Check for any obviously damaged components. That will allow you to figure out where on the mainboard the issue is.
