HP Envy 34c vertical smear

I picked up this monitor on eBay for $200 with a description saying it didn’t go all the way bright. Brightness seems fine to me but color is very blue. I offset the white point to get it to a normalized color. However, after the first day of using it a small smudge appeared in the top left corner and got worse as the next day went on. In the morning it starts out just noticeable and gets worse through out the day. I do see a slight buldge in the plastic case right where the issue is so I guess something could have happened in shipping.

I have the OEM and a different power supply with same specs i have tried. I also swapped cables and computers so the issue is the monitors it’s self. I just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on what would be causing this before I tore it apart.
