Printer rollers are too high to grab the paper

This is an Epson XP-620 which has a back that can be removed, and i can see the white rollers that grab the paper.

If I manually push down on the assembly these rollers are in, they will grab the paper and print fine. However. I have to do that for every sheet. They no longer automatically go all the way down to the paper.

As the sheet is pulled up into the intake rollers, the grabber rollers are also lifted up a bit. They should go back down to grab the next sheet, but they don't.

So that means I have to print one sheet at a time, and then open the back and manually push the grabber rollers down so they are ready for the next sheet.

Is this repairable?

Hi @margaretbartley ,

Does it happen if you try to copy or scan a document using the printer's control panel?

Have you checked the settings in the printer or the printer settings in the computer to make sure that they are set for the correct type of paper?

It's the same kind of paper we've always used, and I don't see any settings in the printer or computer that would address the roller height. I have found that if I fill the cartridge tray to almost full, it will work for a while, but not always. Not an adequate solution.
