How can I set the Sata Disk as main download/install drive?

Hi. Thank you for the help. My mac mini has a 120 GB Solid State SATA Drive and a 500GB SATA Disk.

Everything I download and install goes straight to the solid state and it fills up extremely quickly. Nothing I download every goes to the sata disk unless I drag it there.

Is there some way to have the sata disks as the main download/install storage device?

Change download locations

On your computer, open your browser. This works for Chrome, I have not checked on Safari or FireFox.
At the top right, click More Settings.
At the bottom, click Advanced.
Under the "Downloads" section, adjust your download settings: To change the default download location, click Change and select where you'd like your files to be saved.
