Backlight not working, replaced inverter, no voltage at bulb output

received a 17" macbook pro a1229, had a backlight problem, first replaced inverter before any testing, didnt fix problem. probed the bulb output side of both inverters and found 0v. probed leads on input side of inverter and there is some voltage (2-3v) but not sure what exactly im looking for. are there fuses on the motherboard that i can check? thanks!
